Boat Description
AL 1297, Transcendental: First owned by Dr. R. M. Kilborn, who probably brought the boat to the Conestoga Sailing Club, on Conestoga Lake, where it stayed until 1983. Subsequent owners were Dr. Robert Cowan, Dr. David Taplin, and Wayne Chapeskie, who has had the boat since 1977. The boat competed in the Worlds at some point in the 60's or early 70's. It came out west in 1983, and was sailed on Lake Washington in the 80's, where it experienced some deterioration from exposure to West Coast rains. Was stored for 15 years in BC, and is now being brought back to sailing condition. It is in the original Fairey configuration, with stern deck and buoyancy bags.
